The Kangaroo Island Long Lunch with Laura Sharrad
Oceanview Eco Villas will present The Kangaroo Island Long Lunch, with Laura Sharrad, on Sunday, 11th October 2020.
With only 32 seats available, Oceanview Eco Villas is excited to offer one of South Australia’s most exclusive events.
Oceanview Eco Villas’ Tim and Tamsin Wendt are thrilled to be working with Laura, who finished runner up on Masterchef Australia, 2020. “We are so excited to have Laura here at Oceanview, and working with Kangaroo Island’s amazing produce – we are so lucky to have fantastic produce as well as great chefs here in South
Australia”, said Tamsin.
Laura and husband Max own Adelaide restaurant Nido, which is renowned for drawing on the seasons for inspiration. Laura is looking forward to working with Kangaroo Island’s quality produce as part of such an exclusive event. “I am beyond excited to be able to come back to Kangaroo Island for this very special event. This island showcases so many incredible things - incredible produce, humble people, beautiful lands & to be a part of an event that showcases all those things is very special. I feel very lucky to be be part of such an exciting lunch ... showcasing all that Kangaroo Island has to offer, to the people who live and breathe it.“ said Laura.
Each ticket includes a six-course long lunch, accompanied by international award winning Kangaroo Island Spirits gin and matched wines from 5-star rated winery The Islander Estate Vineyards, as well as the opportunity to personally meet and chat with Laura.
Joining Laura on October 11 will be experienced Kangaroo Island chefs, Dylan and Yolandi Pittalo, who worked at a number of the world’s best lodges including Kangaroo Island’s Southern Ocean Lodge, before more recently becoming part of the team at Sunset Food & Wine. Having worked on Kangaroo Island for the past three years, Dylan and Yolandi have a great understanding of the produce available on Kangaroo Island and are excited to work alongside Laura and Max next month.
Also in attendance will be Yale Norris from The Islander Estate Vineyards and Jon Lark of Kangaroo Island Spirits. Both of these Kangaroo Island producers are internationally-recognised for their excellent products. Event attendees will be treated to a range of yet-to-be released award-winning wine and gin. Of the 32 tickets, eight will be available at the ultra-exclusive Chef’s Table, where guests will be able to interact with and observe the chefs first hand as they plate and prepare each dish.
