KANGAROO ISLAND SPIRITS LAUNCH COCKTAIL MASTERCLASS SERIES
Kangaroo Island Spirits (KIS) are creating a stir by launching a series of Cocktail Masterclasses giving spirit lovers in Adelaide the chance to learn the art of cocktail making.
The global award-winning distillery will host monthly two-hour masterclasses in the gorgeous Queen’s Room at Sparkke at the Whitmore with the first kicking off on Saturday 12 September.
KIS Founder and Brand Ambassador Jon Lark is thrilled to bring KIS to the city.
“We wanted to give those who can’t make it to Kangaroo Island the opportunity to indulge in our delicious spirits and discover ways to utilize our premium spirits in delectable drinks.”
“Each month new cocktails will be created to compliment the changing seasons and showcase the different methods you can use to create the delicious cocktails,” Jon continued.
The first series of masterclasses will include the classic Negroni, a hearty Apple Danish and the new Toasted Marshmallow Martini, which will teach the building and stirring method of cocktail making and the shake, and reverse dry shake.
KIS Experience Manager and Brand Ambassador Rachel Pratt is excited to be able to offer Adelaideans a unique experience. Rachel has a wealth of knowledge about the KIS product range, having worked at the distillery for several years in both front of house and as a distiller.
“We are so excited to finally be able to bring the spirit of Kangaroo Island to the people of Adelaide in a way that will be educational, fun and delicious”.
“With a cocktail menu that changes monthly, we hope to offer something to suit all palates”, Rachel concluded.
Guests will also enjoy nibbles of olives and bread, and will also be able to add other delicious Sparkke food as part of the classes including an afternoon tea option for the 2 - 4 pm session.
The masterclasses will also be available for private bookings, at work or at home functions.
The Adelaide cocktail masterclasses follow the recent announcement of the distillery’s $3 million masterplan development which will provide a great space to offer more educational and interactive experiences like the Cocktail Masterclass Series.
The classes are an opportunity to learn to create and enjoy three full-size cocktails with recipes to take away, as well as being provided with a 10% discount on any KIS purchases made on the day.
