All facilities, from the amenities block and laundry to the eco-cabins and camp kitchens, are powered by solar and gas, minimising reliance on grid electricity. Kerry explains, "We wanted to demonstrate that sustainability doesn't compromise comfort. Our guests can enjoy a comfortable stay while knowing they are minimising their environmental impact."

Furthermore, Discovery Lagoon prioritises water conservation. Eco-showers are timed to ensure responsible water usage, and they are actively exploring rainwater harvesting options.

Beyond minimising their impact, Kerry and Gary are actively enhancing the natural environment. They have dedicated a significant portion of their property to the conservation of the highly endangered glossy black cockatoo, planting thousands of trees to provide essential habitat.
