Cygnet River
Established in 1986, Exceptional Kangaroo Island offers all-inclusive small group and private tours promising good food, good wine and wildlife in the wild. We are founder members of Australian Wildlife Journeys - the premier sustainable wildlife encounter network. Tours depart daily (except Christmas Day) from Kingscote, American River and surrounds.
Small group vehicle-based tours have up to ten guests, and guided e-bike tours cater for up to five guests. Travellers love the combination of nature and hospitality - immersive and sustainable wildlife encounters with delicious, locally sourced food and wines served al fresco. Our fleet is custom-built to suit local conditions and driven by experienced Island guides, with a conversation, not a commentary.
We have twice won "Best Australian Experience" and regularly feature in the Top 10 Australian wildlife and luxury tour operator rankings. We have earned an annual TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence since 2013 and have maintained Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation for over 25 years. We package with a suite of accommodation providers to provide guests with choices and flexibility.
Our private tailor-made experiences focus on hiking experiences, family vacations, wildlife safaris, farm-gate experiences, wineries, multi-mode active adventures, distilleries, photography, personal art studio visits, birding, and even connecting with wildlife researchers.
