Sixteen Legs Exhibition

Opening Night – Wednesday 28th September, 5.30pm

Australia’s deepest caves hide animals surviving from the first age of the dinosaurs and the splitting of the continents.
Enter a photographic and artistic world full of weird animals and unusual rock formations, overseen by still-living,
giant prehistoric spiders the size of dinner plates!

Sponsored by Natural Resources Kangaroo Island and the Parndana Progress Association this unique interactive travelling exhibition features the Tasmanian Cave Spider brought to you by Neil Gaiman and The Bookend Trust.

This is a showcase of real-world photography entwined with dark-fantasy digital artworks and large scale resin/fibre-glass sculpting based around the magical environmental and cultural significance of Tasmanian caves and a still-living 200million year old
Australian within them.

This exhibition is not to be missed – come and see what is hanging from the ceiling of Parndana Town Hall – two giant prehistoric mating spider replicas with 5 metre leg-spans, and a giant egg-sac pulsating with spider young.

After the exhibition, cool down with a delicious and refreshing ‘Spider’ drink at the Parndana Hotel and take advantage of the
‘One Free Meal Offer’ compliments of the Parndana Progress Association and the Parndana Hotel.  Meal Vouchers available when you acquire your ticket to the exhibition (only valid on the day you visit the exhibition).

WHERE: Parndana Town Hall, Parndana.
WHEN: Wednesday 28th September until Thursday 20th October 2016.
ENTRY: Free event, however a gold coin donation would be appreciated.
