Kangaroo Island Farmers Market: is a popular event with locals and visitors alike, bringing local farmers, growers, bakers, home gardeners and a range of artisan producers together with the Island’s community and visitors, who come to taste and learn about
the ever-growing range of local produce from the producers themselves.
On selected days during summer join the local producers, wild life experts and farmers for a casual country style BBQ lunch unique to Kangaroo Island. The lunch includes interactive cooking and tasting demonstrations and the Raptor Domain show that includes an impressive Wedge tailed eagle, Dark Morph Masked Owl, and for the brave - a huge Python!
Meet local farmer Rob and his sheep dogs for an eclectic sheep race & shearing show and enjoy a casual BBQ lunch featuring the islands local produce prepared by one of the islands top Chefs Kate Sumner from Kangaroo Island Source.
The day includes local wine & cider tastings, and don’t forget to buy your ticket for the Great Yabbies Race challenge, where money raised goes to support the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
