Kingscote
Brownlow is a small beachfront settlement located 2 km south of Kingscote. The 1.5 km long settlement is fronted by a narrow high tide beach, then sand flats that widen from 300 m in the north to 900 m in the south. Past the houses, the Kingscote golf course backs the beach for another 1.2 km. The beach terminates in a series of 500 m long spits that form the northern side of the Cygnet River mouth.
The only spot suitable for swimming is the Kingscote pool, as all the beaches are fronted by shallow sand flats.
