Tourism Employment Plan
(TEP)

The Tourism Employment Plan provides a vision, outlines priority actions and sets out a framework for the delivery of workforce solutions for the tourism sector.

Developed in consultation with industry and key organisations, the plan has four strategic priorities to address the employment and workforce challenges, all working towards the industry vision of “exceeding customer’s expectations, with outstanding local knowledge.”

Kangaroo Island Ambassador Training Program:

Developed and driven by a dedicated working party representing a diverse range of industry, and with the funding support from the Department of State Development. The ‘Our Kangaroo Island’ Ambassador Training Program is one of the key catalyst projects of the Tourism Employment Plan.

The program’s primary aim is to be a valuable training resource for tourism, hospitality, food, wine and retail sectors of Kangaroo Island.
