The original skate run at the Soldiers Memorial Park.
It was designed by Trevor Florance in 1977 and built by Wayne Riley and Stephen Budarick, has received an upgrade thanks to the diligent work of Advance Kingscote, many community organisations and volunteers.
A concept design was created in consultation with the community and it was the design which enabled Advance Kingscote to leverage further funding to complete the build.
Sam Bennett and his team from Carving Concrete, who built the skate park are skaters themselves, and they modified the design to suit the modern skating techniques at their own cost.
The design is complex and yet smooth to skate.
