Hanson Bay to Vivonne Bay
Monday 27th to Thursday 30th April
Distance: Approximately 40km
From Tom & Jakes Diary
After a brief but very welcome stay at the Southern Ocean Lodge, we made it to the astounding Hanson Bay - where ginormous waves thunder around the protected, sandy bay. We loved the place so much that we hung around for an extra day to wash our socks, fish, eat and sleep. The Sou' West River (at Hanson Bay) is full of bream ready to bite and is quite a sight at the crack of dawn.

Cliff tops were on the menu as we set off for the mouth of Stun' Sail Boom River and we got there as the sun was setting. Where have all the mullet gone!!!?? Bream was great for dinner again.
Between Stun' Sail Boom River and Vivonne Bay, we gawked at all the waves rolling through, wishing we had enough space in our packs for boards and wetsuits.
Now that we're in Vivonne Bay, it's off to the General Store for a hamburger with the lot, extra cheese, onion and bacon. Sometimes you've just got to do it!
