Not just a food and wine festival!
Kangaroo Island FEASTival is a celebration that features a degustation of over 15 extraordinary dining events that have been created to capture the true ‘spirit’ & character of our island.


Our wilderness locations, history, local produce, beverages & island character are featured in every event ensuring visitors & guests take home a dining experience that is unique to Kangaroo Island. Spend the day at FEAST KI – Our Big Day Out with interactive cooking displays, cooking competitions, live entertainment and market stalls. Share a home cooked meal in the private homes of locals and Table Surf with a group of friends. Dine as nature’s guests at a collection of Pop-Up & Wilderness Events staged around the island.

Feast KI - BIG DAY OUT

Immerse yourself in Kangaroo Island culture, food, wine, art & entertainment with FEAST KI - the FEASTival’s main Big Day Out.
The day features the hotly contested Tourism Kangaroo Island Signature Dish Competition & includes the Kangaroo Island Farmers Market alongside the island’s best chefs, wine & spirit makers. This is your chance to sample everything Kangaroo Island.

Pop Up & Wilderness Events


    Pop Up Events are one off dining experiences in venues around the island that are not usually available at other times of the year.
Our Wilderness Events embrace our islands unique wilderness or outdoor locations as part of the event design.

Table Surfing


Table Surfing is about creating an opportunity for you to join local island producers & home cooks for an intimate dinner in their own home. This will be like crashing a dinner party they would put on for a group of their closest friends! In the spirit of Table Surfing you may be seated at a shared dining table, meaning you may be joining your host & other travelers.

SeaLink

SeaLink’s vehicle & passenger ferry services operate every day between Cape Jervis (two hours’ drive from Adelaide) & Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. 

There are regular departures throughout the day & bookings are necessary. The crossing time is 45 minutes. SeaLink also operate daily connecting coach services to & from Adelaide to connect with morning & evening ferry departures & connecting shuttle services on Kangaroo Island.
