Fine Art Kangaroo Island

With works from 80% of the Island's professional artists as well as a showcase of emerging new talent, the emphasis is on quality. Gateway Visitor Information Centre 

Along with providing information to visitors on touring Kangaroo Island, the Gateway Visitor Information Centre displays and sells a wide range of Kangaroo Island art and individually made souvenirs.

For 21 years this centrally located gallery has displayed beautiful artworks produced entirely by local artists. Their work is supported by a unique range of Australian designed and created jewellery, art and sculpture. Some-Bling New Jewellery Studio

Located in the Dauncey Street art precinct – and operated by Fine Art Kangaroo Island-  this newest art attraction features daily jewellery making demonstrations. Visit to view owner Fred Peters cast sterling silver in cuttlefish bone or observe one of the many local art jewellers at work on the bench. Amongst a constantly changing exhibition of paintings, etchings and other large artworks you can purchase locally made precious metal and gemstone, glass, ceramic, Swarovski crystal and gold beaded unique jewellery pieces.

Neil Sheppard's studio and straw bale home overlooks beautiful Bay of Shoals, 10 minutes from Kingscote. Sheps' work is dynamic, bright and popular with both tourists and locals. His preferred medium is oils, but you never know what you might find. This talented artist has a knack for reinvention and surprising even his biggest fans.
