The Kangaroo Island Art Feast is an annual celebration of art, food and wine, held at 20 venues across the Island, beginning on the October long weekend. The event fuses restaurants, wineries and foodies with a smorgasbord of local artists for a series of special events, showcasing the very best the Island has to offer.Kangaroo Island is a place that inspires those who call it home. For a relatively small population, Kangaroo Island is fortunate to be home to internationally acclaimed artists, chefs, producers and winemakers.
The Kangaroo Island Art Feast, from the 2-11 October is where it all comes together. Visitors are encouraged to spend the week on Kangaroo Island not only enjoying the various Art Feast events taking place but also the spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and some of Australia's best beaches.

1. Art Feast Opening
"Paintings, Pizza, Pavlova...& Paparazzi!" at Chapman River Cellar Door
An extravagant night out to launch the 2009 Art Feast! Get ‘flashed' on the red carpet as you arrive before settling in for gourmet wood oven pizza, perfectly prepared pavlova plus Happiness Wine. Shauna Black, editor of ‘The Islander' newspaper will officially open the Art Feast and launch the fabulous new ‘Food, Wine & Art Guide 2009-10'. |

2. "Proof of the Pudding!" at Chapman River Cellar Door
Enjoy an afternoon of photography, pudding and music at Chapman River. Visiting chef Marion Chambers will cook-up delightful puddings including Yorkshire, Rare Roast Beef, Sticky Date or any other flavours that may take her fancy on the day. Les Montanjees will display his proofs and moody photography and also take the stage to sing some ‘Saucy Songs' with his band "The Coathangers". |
3. Penneshaw Farmers Markets, Kangaroo Island

4. "Panorama" at Dudley Wines Cellar Door
![]() | The Panorama exhibition will feature fantastic photography of Kangaroo Island and abroad by one of the islands most talented photographers, Robyn Field. The opening event includes award winning Dudley Wine, delicious cocktail food and live music by local band Black Point. Bookings are essential. 5. "The Sights and Sounds at Sunset" at Sunset Winery

Digital presentations from Academy Award nominated sound mixer Gethin Creagh provide the backdrop to larger than life oil paintings, animated sculpture, vivid photography, distinctive collage, ceramics and vector artwork inspired by swirling melodies and hypnotising rhythms. 19. "Vivonne Bay Blue" at Rustic Blue Gallery
