The Kangaroo Island Art Feast is an annual celebration of art, food and wine, held at 15 venues across the Island, beginning on the October long weekend. The event fuses restaurants, wineries and foodies with a smorgasbord of local artists for a series of special events, showcasing the very best the Island has to offer.Kangaroo Island is a place that inspires those who call it home. For a relatively small population, Kangaroo Island is fortunate to be home to internationally acclaimed artists, chefs, producers and winemakers.
The Kangaroo Island Art Feast, from the 3-12 October is where it all comes together. Visitors are encouraged to spend the week on Kangaroo Island not only enjoying the various Art Feast events taking place but also the spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and some of Australia's best beaches.

1. Art Feast Opening at Seal Bay Tourist Park @ Kaiwarra
![]() | Celebrate the opening of the 2008 Kangaroo Island Art Feast in style at Seal Bay Tourist Park, Kaiwarra. Toast the event with a glass of wine as the very best of Kangaroo Island art, food and wine is showcased throughout the evening. 2. "The Pages" at Dudley Wines Cellar Door
![]() | The Pages exhibition will feature a selection of paintings from celebrated Island artist Diana Keir and fascinating aerial photography of KI and surrounds by Rural Image. The opening event includes Dudley wine, an array of cocktail food and live music by Dee, a solo musician from Byron Bay. Bookings essential. 3. The Best of "Fine Art Kangaroo Island" at Sunset
![]() | Art Feast debut for KI's newest gallery. An impressive exhibition of original fine art produced by the Island's most talented, acclaimed national and local artists. Over looking spectacular Eastern Cove, paintings, photography, ceramics, jewellery and sculpture transform the cellar vault served with fine wines and Sue Pearson's fine food. 4. "Faces of KI" at Kangaroo Island Artworks Gallery

5. "Pelican Lagoon Presents..." at the Kangaroo Island Lodge
The Pelican Lagoon region is home to an array of talented artists. Join them as they present a collection of exciting new works including wearable art, silver jewellery, pottery, paintings, photography, textiles and sculpture. |
6. "Indulgent Delights" at Cliffords Honey Farm
![]() | The famous Clifford's produce together with a delightful selection from the surrounding region of Haines, including newcomers Loverings Olive Oil and Kangaroo Island Chocolate Factory. Tastings available. New work from Honey Farm artists will be exhibited, comprising of pottery, jewellery, rustic nests and solar plate etchings. 7. Bay of Shoals Wines present "Feathers and Footprints"
![]() | Iconic Australian artist Bernie Walsh and Kangaroo Island photojournalist Sean McGowan together present their ‘Feathers and Footprints' exhibition. Bernie will be demonstrating how he creates his internationally known drawings. Sean's spectacular and heart-wrenching photographs of the December 2007 bushfires were published around the country. Wine tasting daily and Devonshire tea will also be available on Saturday and Sunday. 8. "Rustic and Rural" at the Beehive
